Say “NO” to PROCRASTINATION

Battles of the Mind · January 15, 2013

noProcrastination (putting off or delaying something that requires your immediate attention) is a bad thing and a battle of the mind.

When you delay what you are supposed to do, a one day’s journey can easily take one year. Many people sit on what God has given or shown them.

Do you know that delay can be very dangerous? The Lord has shown people things to do (including what will take them to the next level) but they are dilly-dallying.

What has God told you to do?

Here are some things the Lord has shown people to do (without procrastinating):

  • Deliverance for your entire family (special fasting and prayer session to combat certain problems).
  • Relocation.
  • Business ownership that will clear all your debts and set you free.
  • A new profession; a new job.
  • A church that you can call home.
  • Change your friends, lifestyle.
  • Remove your name from evil agreements.

You say: Pastor, you don’t understand. I know God has shown me what to do but I just don’t feel like doing anything. The truth is that I have no desire to do anything. Whatever happens, happens. All I want to do is to lie down and forget it all. I’m tired.

Don’t be tired.

Why glorify satan by being down in the dumps? Do you know that every time you want to give up, you are glorifying the devil (the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy destinies)?

This is because in that moment of weakness, your trust is no longer in God (who has given you dominion over the earth and authority to trample the enemy) and you are saying, “satan, do whatever.”

Which God do you serve? Is it the God of Elijah that sent down fire from heaven to destroy the enemy? Is it the same God that saved you many years ago when your life could have ended in an instant?

Rise up.
Don’t waste today. Do what needs to be done now. How long will you continue to cry or lament about whatever is bothering you? Time waits for nobody.

The universe doesn’t stop. The sun must rise. The sun must set. Another day must come whether we like it or not. However, what you do with it is extremely important.
