Strength is a Choice and You Need It To Do Great Exploits

Spiritual Growth · February 3, 2017

This is a post by Rev. Laurie Idahosa, wife of Bishop F.E. Benson Idahosa. She is the Pastor of @MyChurchUnusual, Proprietor of Nathan American Academy and Director of Campus Life @BIU_Nigeria. She has traveled to over 40 countries with renowned ministries. She graduated from the School of Biblical Studies and the School of Ministerial Training in New Castle, DE and received her Bachelors in Christian Ministry from Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary in Maryland.

Strength is a choice.

You gain strength by choice. You use your strength by choice.

In fact, it all boils down to choice and nobody can make the choice to be strong for you. You need to make it yourself. You can’t just casually coast and arrive at a life that experiences extraordinary results. You must PUT ON STRENGTH. (Read Isaiah 52:1)

Your daily decisions will either grow your strength or atrophy it. Don’t be deceived into believing that you will maintain any level if you simply glide in life, comfortable with the status quo.

You must be deliberate. If you want to be strong, you need to know God. He is the creator of this masterpiece called you. As you know the one who wrote your owner’s manual, you will grow in strength. As you grow in strength, you will be in a position to do exploits!

Weak people don’t do extraordinary things.

If you crumble too easily under pressure, choose to grow in strength this year. Don’t be comfortable being the one that always needs help or consoling.

Reject having a mentality of a victim, which promulgates weakness. Be intentional about building strength and watch out for the great things that your life can and will produce.

My prayer for you is that you will be stronger than you have ever been before.

..but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. – Daniel 11:32b
