Everyone won’t like your assignment. That’s true.
When you expose evil, don’t be surprised if those benefitting from the evil get upset and try to destroy you or frustrate your other assignments.
In Acts 16, Paul saw a vision of Macedonia in his dream. They set out to Macedonia believing that’s where God had sent them. Many powerful things happened in that region.
One particular encounter in his assignment journey and location (Macedonian territory) was with a girl with the spirit of divination. Paul was annoyed by her behavior that he cast out that spirit in the name of Jesus.
Those who benefited from her fortune-telling got angry, dragged Paul and Silas to the authorities. They got severely beaten, thrown into jail in a very secure place to ensure they could not escape.
“So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks.”
– Acts 16:24
As you carry out your kingdom assignment(s), there are people who will not be happy with your strategy, implementation, activation, and deliverance of God’s people from the kingdom of darkness. However, do not be bothered about them.
“Don’t be afraid..For there are more on our side than on theirs!”
– 2 Kings 6:16
When you have the call of God upon your life, He redirects your footsteps and inserts divine detours for His glory. He will protect you and even give you strategy to set you free. At midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God, there was a massive earthquake, the prison doors opened, the chains on every prisoner fell off. The jailer fell at Paul’s feet trembling and asked what he needed to do to be saved.
In the midst of tribulation, because of the mantle you carry, God will use His power in you to set captives free and it won’t be by power or might.
Proceed fearlessly with your assignment and do not look to the right or left. The Lord is with you. He has you covered under the shadow of His wings. There are many fighting for you that you cannot see.
