“THEY TOOK HIM ASIDE..” (Acts 18:26)
Apollos was eloquent, a powerful speaker, knew the way of the Lord, taught the people about Jesus with an enthusiastic spirit and accuracy but he only knew about John’s baptism. Then Aquila and Priscilla took him aside and told him more about the Lord.
Apollos needed to have the complete picture for maximum impact. Those who knew more didn’t embarrass him but took him aside.
How much does it cost to be nice?
The Acts 18:26 scripture verse is a lesson for all ministers of the Gospel regardless of the capacity in which you serve. Be nice. It doesn’t cost you anything.
If you are in a situation where someone needs to be taught more, take him or her aside and explain further.
This is about kingdom impact and not who knows more than the other. The mission is Christ revealed and Him received; not “look at me, I know more than that preacher!”
