Divine Instructions in Desperate Times

Persistent Faith · March 27, 2020

Are we listening to divine instructions in desperate times?

There are some instructions that the Holy Spirit will release but we can miss them because we are so afraid of the unknown. Some will ignore the instructions. The Lord provided for the children of Israel and Moses instructed them to gather as much food as they needed but “No one is to keep any of it until morning.” However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell.” (Exodus 16:19-20)

God miraculously provided food. They were told, don’t keep any for the next morning. People still kept some for the next morning. It’s human nature to gather as much as we can (maybe even hide them) because nobody knows tomorrow but when are we really going to trust the Lord for our daily bread? What they kept for the next day (tomorrow) was ruined.

Let us persist in faith and trust God to give us our daily bread.

As the Lord has declared that He will provide, bask in His promise that He will do as He says. You are coming out of it and this too shall pass. Let’s be in tune with the Holy Spirit and listen to divine instructions in desperate times. I pray we don’t miss it in Jesus name.

I have learned that Desperate times are sometimes, important times because, they help us to get our spiritual intelligence direct from the mouth of God.

Understanding our part in the equation of any problem will ensure we achieve the right result. What you think might not equal what should be; X may not always equal Y. Hence the need to heed divine instructions. May the Lord help us indeed!

I love the idea in your email about keeping a notebook journal (with pockets) with flashcard verses and what they mean (to you)… I may do this!

    Thank you

You are welcome Jennifer. Those flashcards really helped me. They are great reminders of what the Lord did before, what He will do again and what He will always do.
