Even if crisis seems unending and appears to regroup, God will come through.
Don’t panic in tough times. The story of Joseph in prison for a crime he did not commit shows us that even in desperate times, the hand of God is upon his children. He prospered even in dire circumstances. He was sold into slavery but that did not take him out. He was falsely accused but that did not take him out. He was even forgotten for two years in prison by the butler who was supposed to inform the king about him but that did not deter him from fulfilling destiny.
God still came through for Joseph and catapulted him from captivity to freedom.
God’s Promise
The Lord says in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart..” Whatever is happening now in your life, the Lord knows about it. Before it started happening, He knew about it. He created you. Will God do something about it? You bet! This is His promise to us and His word does not return void:
So don’t worry, because I am with you. Don’t be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saves you. – Isaiah 41:10
When crisis appears to never end (it keeps repeating and you are wondering what is happening), when you don’t have answers and nowhere to run, turn to God. I am talking about when everything that is happening around you is beyond human comprehension and only God can save. Trust God. He says, “I, your God, have a firm grip on you and I’m not letting go. I’m telling you, ‘Don’t panic. I’m right here to help you.’ – Isaiah 41:13
Believe God that He will come through and step in as the Mighty Deliverer. The crisis has an expiration date. The waiting period is not easy but it will surely end.
You are so correct , when you say the waiting period is not easy, especially during these challenging times. I take comfort in Psalms 91 with knowing that the Lord is refuge and my fortress.
Amen. He is our Protector.
